was the diagnosis by Hubby when my almost new shredder quit working. I was bummed, thinking I would have to buy another new one when I couldn't get this one to working. I saw some papers were jammed, unplugged the machine, and tried to clear it. I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't clear completely. Seemed okay to me. But Hubby went and got a screwdriver from my toolbox, took apart the motor housing, and found the entire housing completely jammed with little bits of paper. Nary a clear spot in sight. I have never had a shredder do this. I was busy doing something else, so he declared it constipated, removed a ton of paper, and put it all back together. Works like a charm now. So I didn't have to go into my household goods fund and get a shredder. And I won't let the paper get too full in the little container because unlike my other one, this shredder doesn't work well that way. Now, I can shred up the pile that accummulated recently. It would probably be better for me and the shredder if I figured out how to get rid of all this junk mail that comes here.....

On the junk mail---I just tear my name and address off of it, shread or in my case burn that part, and then recycle the rest of it.
